Their primary function is to shield against gamma rays produced by radionuclides, ensuring the safety of personnel and the environment. F18-FDG lead storage containers are used for long-distance or intra-hospital transport of finished drug products. They typically hold 10mL, 20mL, or 30mL vials, with a lead equivalent shielding thickness of up to 40mm. The container body is manufactured using a one-time casting process with pure liquid lead, and is finished with thickened stainless steel inside and out. The lid features a stepped vent to enhance sealing and prevent radiation leakage. Some products are equipped with stainless steel handles for easy handling.
