Description Of FDG Tungsten Unit Dose Pig

FDG Tungsten Unit Dose Pigs are mobile shielding devices for storing or transporting syringes made of high-density tungsten alloy materials. They are mainly used to extract and transport single or double doses of radionuclides (i.e., F18-FDG). Tungsten alloy materials have a very good absorption and shielding effect on gamma rays or beta rays emitted by isotopes, as well as X-rays emitted by inspection equipment. FDG Tungsten Unit Dose Pigs consist of three assembleable and detachable tubular containers. The interface adopts a threaded rotating design, which is convenient for loading and unloading syringes and improves the sealing and safety of the entire protective container.

Features Of FDG Tungsten Unit Dose Pig

Efficient radiation protection: FDG tungsten unit dose pig adopts high-density tungsten alloy material, which can effectively shield high-energy radiation such as X-rays and gamma rays, providing all-around protection for operators and the environment.

Strong durability: Tungsten alloy has high strength and hardness, and can maintain stability and durability even in harsh environments, with a long service life.

Environmental protection: Compared with traditional lead materials, tungsten alloy is more environmentally friendly and will not pollute the environment.

Reasonable structural design: FDG tungsten unit dose pig is usually divided into three parts: head, body, and tail, which can be matched with syringe shielding devices of different specifications, such as 2cc, 2.5cc, 3cc, and 5cc. During the injection process, unnecessary radiation doses can be reduced by operating the head and tail.

Lightweight design: Although tungsten alloy has a high density, through optimized design, the FDG tungsten unit dose pig minimizes its weight while ensuring the shielding effect.

Applications Of FDG Tungsten Unit Dose Pig

During the preparation, packaging, and injection of radioactive drugs, FDG tungsten unit dose pigs can effectively shield against radiation and reduce the radiation exposure of medical staff. When handling radioactive samples, FDG tungsten unit dose pigs provide researchers with the necessary radiation protection to ensure the safety and smooth progress of the experimental process.
