Dorayshield recently successfully exported 30 sets of medical tungsten alloy radiation shielding syringes to Slovakia. This collaboration marks the official entry of the company's high-end medical protection products into the Central and Eastern European market and demonstrates its expertise in the field of radioactive medical equipment.
The DRS-016, a model ordered this time, is made of a 95W-Ni-Fe high-density alloy, machined in one piece. With a wall thickness of only 2.5 mm, it attenuates 99% of 99mTc gamma rays, maintains a surface dose rate of less than 1 μSv/h, and is 40% lighter than traditional lead shields, meeting both IAEA and EU 2017/745 standards. The syringe holder is compatible with 1-10 ml syringes, and the transparent viewing window with magnified scale allows for single-handed medication administration, addressing the pain point of nurses struggling to see clearly while wearing lead gloves.
This batch of products will be used in the Nuclear Medicine Department of the Slovak National Oncology Center to address the protection challenges associated with radiopharmaceutical injections during PET-CT examinations. In response to customer demands for lightweight (single unit weight <1.2kg) and rapid disinfection, the company optimized the internal shielding structure and incorporated antimicrobial coating technology, earning high customer recognition.
