Recently, Dorayshield announced the successful export of 20 tungsten alloy radiation syringe shields and five tungsten alloy unit dose pigs to a French medical shielding equipment company. This collaboration not only marks the company's medical-grade tungsten alloy shielding products gaining recognition in the European market but also further expands its international reach in the medical protection sector.
Through its innovative approach to radiation shielding technologies, Dorayshield has become an exporter of high-purity tungsten alloy syringe shields. These syringe shields are molded from a tungsten alloy with a density of 18.5 g/cm³ and 95% tungsten content. This design provides a 30% reduction in weight compared to conventional lead shielding while improving radiation attenuation by 40%, minimizing exposure for healthcare workers. The surface of the product is polished to the nano-level to conform to different medical sterilization requirements and provides smooth interfacing with instruments used in nuclear medicine.
The unit dose shielding device caters to single-dose radiopharmaceuticals. It's modular for accurate control over dosimetry. Its primary shielding layer is only 12mm thick yet achieves complete attenuation of Co-60 radiation and lowers to sub-safety levels. This attenuation meets the French ASN requirements for the applicable radiological medical devices. The technical director for the French client stated, "Products from Dorayshield achieve an excellent lightweight-to-shielding ratio, and the range of customization improves our development cycle for equipment."
This is the first successful export to France, which is a stepping stone for international market expansion for Dorayshield. The company understands the China-Europe dynamics in the medical device field. China has become increasingly competitive with medical devices due to innovations in the industry. Dorayshield is leveraging this market and expanding internationally, positioning Chinese medical protective equipment as a quality product in the international market.
Dorayshield's sales director stated that the French customer has included the company on its 2025 qualified supplier list. The next step is to collaborate on the development of mobile tungsten alloy PET transfer tanks, further expanding China's share of the European market for high-end tungsten shielding.
